Head for the beautiful villages that abound in the region, including no fewer than 7 of the most beautiful in France, such as Gordes, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Roussillon and Bonnieux. You can go to the local grocery shop to buy your bread and newspaper, and opposite the church you'll find one of the best restaurants in the region. On Sundays, you'll find the tastiest regional fruit and vegetables at the large Provencal market in Reillanne, and it's in Banon that you can buy the traditional goat's cheese wrapped in chestnut leaves. A visit to Apt's cathedral, Saint-Anne, is a must. You can also enjoy shopping in the boutiques or lunching in a small restaurant. Near Apt there is also a water park on a lake where you can go sailing and surfing. In fact, there's far too much to do on your holiday in this splendid region!

Het vredige, idyllische heuveldorpje Viens wordt omringd door wandel- en fietspaden die kriskras door de lavendelvelden lopen. Trek naar de prachtige dorpjes die de regio rijk is, waaronder maar liefst 7 van de mooiste van Frankrijk, zoals Gordes, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Roussillon en Bonnieux. Bij de plaatselijke kruidenier kun je terecht voor je brood en krant, en tegenover de kerk vind je een van de beste restaurants in de regio. Op zondag vind je de lekkerste regionale groenten en fruit op de grote Provençaalse markt in Reillanne, en in Banon kun je de traditionele geitenkaas in kastanjebladeren kopen. Een bezoek aan de kathedraal van Apt, Saint-Anne, is een must. Je kunt ook heerlijk winkelen in de boetiekjes of lunchen in een klein restaurant.
