This wonderful villa holiday park is located in the municipality of Andijk in the exciting and thriving environment of North Holland province. It lies just outside a dyke of the Ijsselmeer (lake). The luxurious villas offer plenty of peace and tranquility, space and comfort, and make a perfect base for exploring North Holland and West Friesland.By utilizing carefully selected vegetation and soothing water features, the park has created a truly peaceful environment. Almost all the villas of this type are by the water. This well-kept park is ideal for families or active persons of all ages. Your holiday is made complete with every imaginable comfort and luxury. This villa is equipped with a microwave and dishwasher and has a patio with furniture. Quilts and pillows can be left at home because they are already present. After consultation we will also welcome your pet(s)! Please note! The swimming pool will be closed for maintenance from 8 - 26 January! Also, restaurant, snack bar and bowling / bar will be closed from 8 - 18 January. At the park you will find that you are not lacking any of the facilities which would make your holiday a real success. You can also take advantage of "The Farm'', a fishing pier, a kite field, football field, the Oasis swimming pool (open from early January to mid-February; closed for maintenance. In 2017 that will be between the 9th and 27th of January), a large playground, mini-golf, a supermarket (open from April to October), tennis courts, restaurants/bar/bowling (limited opening hours in winter), pony ranch, petting zoo and volleyball court(s). In the environment there is plenty to see and do. In a country with so much water and fertile land it is not surprising that in Andijk you’ll find a Polder Museum and the "Saet & Cruyt" Museum dedicated to seed production. Many beautiful old towns are also worth a visit. Medemblik is the smallest but also the oldest town in West Friesland. It lies on the Ijsselmeer and during the summer months there are various events held in the historic center such as a market featuring traditional crafts. The medieval castle of Radboud, the Bakery Museum, the Shepherd Mill and the Steam Tram Horn-Medemblik are part of the numerous attractions of Medemblik. Enkhuizen (founded in the year 1000) owes its wealth to the United East India Company. Here you’ll find the Zuiderzee Museum, an open-air museum and an “indoor” museum housed in the buildings of the VOC. Sprookjeswonderland (early April t / m in late October) is a unique park full of surprises. Peek inside the houses of Gnome Village, where everywhere look you'll see a different scene. Do not forget to visit the interesting Flessenscheepjesmuseum (boats in bottles) or the White Water Mill, with many plenty of things to decorate your home. Hoorn is a beautiful old city where many people come to visit the annual markets. Many cultural elements from its rich history have been preserved including a large number of monuments, a conservation area and a wealth of artwork housed in the West Frisian Museum. There are also contemporary art galleries, exhibition and events. Volendam is a pretty fishing village situated on the IJsselmeer, with traditional costumes (you can have your picture taken in costume), football, music and seafood. Visit the little houses behind the harbor or shop for souvenirs 7 days a week. Restaurants with a Volendam atmosphere where an important part of the menu consists of fish fresh from the sea. You can go by boat with the Marken Express to the former island of Marken (April to late October) where you can see an eel smokehouse, a weekly fish market in the summer (in the morning and at the end of the day), cheesemongers, clogs, diamond grinding, traditional costumes and old fishing interiors. A full day in Schagen is also quite an experience! On a West Frisian Thursday around 10:15 am a parade begins at the railroad crossing of the Cafe Spoorzicht. Follow the procession through the town as participants adorn the original West Frisian costumes, walking or sitting on or in wagons, carriages and landaus pulled by beautiful horses. At 11:30 the folkloric dance festival begins on the marketplace. Every year in Alkmaar, from the 1st Friday in April until the 1st Friday in September (from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm), there are 22 cheese markets on the Waagplein. 300,000 people annually visit the Alkmaar Cheese Market. Visitors come here from all over the world to see how cheese is traded. In addition, in Alkmaar you’ll find opportunities for shopping and a vibrant nightlife. A golden tip: start the day with a cruise from Enkhuizen. You will sail to Medemblik. In Medemblik you can then visit the Bakery Museum, walk along the harbor, enjoy a coffee on a terrace or do some shopping. From Medemblik take the tramway to Hoorn. In Horn you can visit the West Frisian Museum or take advantage of the large selection of shops. From Hoorn take the regular train to Enkhuizen when you’re ready. In Enkhuizen you can enjoy a nice meal at a restaurant on the harbor to end your fabulous day. And this is just a small selection of the many attractions that this part of North Holland has to offer. Young family (1 child under 4 years of age) and 55+ discount are available, but not during the holidays: - 15% for the weeks and weekends and 25% for the midweeks (contact us for the possibilities) The service costs include: final cleaning and linen set. The deposit would not be paid in cash, but you will fill in a deposit form. Owner will use it only in case of damages. It is forbidden to smoke in this property. Arrival and departure are only on Mondays and Fridays, unless otherwise indicated. In the summer (weeks 29 t/m 31) and for Christmas and New-Year’s bookings arrival is only possible on Friday. Arrivals on Sundays and holidays: not possible. Maximum of 2 pets per villa are allowed. Supplement for a pet: € 4.00 per night. Cleaning surcharge: € 12.00 per holiday villa.
