Die Roque Saint-Christophe ist ein kilometerlanger, hoher Felsen mit Felsenwohnungen am Ufer der Vézère, der das ganze Jahr über viele Besucher anzieht. Spuren belegen, dass hier bereits vor 55.000 Jahren Menschen lebten! Le Moustier dankt seine Bekanntheit der Entdeckung eines fossilen Neanderthalerschädels. Der Schädel von Le Moustier ist schätzungsweise ca. 45.000 Jahre alt. Rund um das Dorf finden Sie mitten in der Natur mehrere buddhistische Klöster, die viele Besucher zählen. Selbst der Dalai Lama war schon hier.
