Luxury Design Villa on the Elbe Riverbank.
This stunning heritage ensemble from 1859 was originally built as a pumping station for the Hamburg Waterworks, located directly on the Elbe River. Approximately 50 years after its last use, the historical buildings were transformed into extraordinary houses and lofts right on the Elbe beach, all built to the highest design standards and awarded an architectural prize. The villa is the centerpiece of the newly developed Waterworks Project at Falkensteiner Ufer, completed in 2019. With a living space of approximately 180 m² spread across two levels, the villa features two terraces and a south-facing garden with a small playground including a playhouse, sandbox, slide, and swing. After an extensive interior redesign, this beautiful property boasts a cohesive modern and minimalist design, with oak, steel, and lime-washed exposed brickwork, as well as clever design details throughout. The light-filled upper floor showcases premium oak finishes. The breathtaking ceiling and door heights throughout the house, along with the gallery floor featuring a ceiling height of 9.50 meters, are highlighted by an impressive lighting installation of 40 individual pendant lights. The ground floor offers an open-plan living and dining area with a rotating wood-burning stove and a custom-built kitchen, all with direct views of the Elbe. The gallery area includes two bedrooms, a dressing room, and two bathrooms. One of the highlights is the "light cannon" in the master bathroom and a freestanding mineral cast bathtub with views of the Elbe. Exceptional design elements and the villa's unique architectural style cater to exclusive tastes. We look forward to welcoming you as guests to this historic gem!
