An old mine in Covilhã, central Portugal, has been transformed into a highly successful rural tourism attraction. The farm covers an impressive 5.3 hectares and offers unparalleled views and direct access to the River Zêzere. The main house has five bedrooms and there are also three fully furnished restored cottages, a mining interpretation centre, agricultural warehouses, a beehive, water tanks and five disused underground galleries for aging sparkling wine. The property also has private access to a river beach, making it ideal for extreme sports and outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. There are plans to develop the rural tourism aspect of the farm, allowing for more visitors and the construction of new buildings with a capacity of up to 80 guests. The potential buyer can choose to continue or expand the existing tourism business.
