Once inside the city walls, to the right you will see an old monastery which was built in the 17th century. To the left is the court house dating back to 1852, with its neo-classical façade somewhat further up the belfry. The Basilica of Our Lady was built between 1827 and 1866 on the site of the former cathedral. You may also want to visit the museum which is housed in the castle. In this museum you will find an overview of Greek vases, collections of Egyptian antiquities, archaeological finds from the region and paintings from the 17th to the 19th century. It's a pleasant walk to Cap Hornu, or perhaps even further on to Cap Hourdel where you can enjoy the beautiful views over the bay and Le Crotoy, the seaside resort to the north of the bay.
