Your host: The origin of this construction dates back to the French revolution. Called a barn, it was part of a small farm acquired by a great-grandfather in 1882. It is located in a closed hovel surrounded by hedges and planted embankments. Over time, Elisabeth and I Michel, now retired, became its owners. But what to do with a building worn by time in which our ancestors for decades piled up sheaves of wheat where instead of the current kitchen a threshing machine was installed! After having documented ourselves, we undertook its restoration then, one thing leading to another, transformed into a house intended, in partnership with the gîtes of Seine-Maritime, into a rural gîte. For almost 30 years we have shared rich moments with our guests from diverse backgrounds and countries. Our accommodation, which has been operating since 1992, is located in the countryside in a hamlet adjoining an orchard planted with fruit trees where sheep and lambs graze, close to expressways and close to the beaches of Puys, Dieppe, Pourville where at low tide fishing is practiced on foot. The Lin cycle route, L'Avenue Verte and other paths allow walks through fields and meadows by bike or on foot. The interior equipment is complete, the rooms spacious. The restoration respects Norman architecture: brick, flint, terracotta paving stones, cob between the half-timberings, old and local materials. Depending on the feelings of our guests, we encourage them to discover the heritage, the gastronomy with cream and farm butter, corked cider, fish and shellfish without forgetting meat and poultry. We strive to meet our guests' expectations in terms of museums, curiosities, restaurants and of course the surprising cliffs of the Alabaster Coast. See you soon !
