Excellent Finishes - large apartment right in the centre of the seaside town of Foz do Arelho This apartment is situated in the heart of the old town of Foz do Arelho warking distance to everything including cafes, shops, the beach and the lagoon. Situated on a quiet street the property is a first floor apartment in a block of 6 apartments. Some of the apartments are residential and some are family owned and used just for the holidays. The apartment is accessed from a private shared hallway up a wide set of stairs to the first floor. The apartment has a a buzzer to allow people in through, the front door, and a doorbell outside the door to the apartment. The property was completely refurbished in 2017 Entering in top the apartment, the hallway is U shaped allowing access to all the rooms. The floors for the majority of the property are in wood block and have been revarnished. First on your left is the large lounge diner which has plent of space for a 6 or 8 seater table and two settees. There is a patio door which opens up onto the private balcony overlooking the street; the patio door was replaced as part of the refurbishment. The next room off the hallway is the master bedroom. The bathroom is finished in turquoise and the tile floor is laid with glass mosaic tiles. The next room along the hallway is the master bathroom finished in blues with a laminate floor. The bathroom features a bath and separate walk in shower as well as a large sink with double taps. The alcove above the bath adds a nice feature to the room. The next room after this is the second bedroom. This is a large room with space for twin beds and a bed settee. There is also a built-in wardrobe containing drawers with plenty of space for hanging and storage. To the rear of the bedroom is a double glazed window overlooking the private reafr patio. The third bedroom is a little further along the hallway and has space for a double bed, free standing wardrobe and also has a window overlooking the rear patio. Next along the hallway opposite the third bedroom is a storage cupboard. This is large and used to contain a bathroom and still has plumbing, should you wish to reinstall a bathroom or toilet. Finally at the end of the hallway is the large kitchen. This is a big space and easily has space for a small dining table. The kitchen is fitted in white units with a feature pink wall. To the rear of the kitchen is a patio door and window. The kitchen is extremely well fitted and has everything you would need for living here or as a holiday rental. The kitchen includes washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, cooker hood and under-unit lighting. Also in here is oodles of space for storage including rotating shelf corner units and plenty of drawers and loads of worktop space. To the rear of the property, through the patio door is a large private garden area consisting of built in planters, benches and an outside storage area, plus gas store and Barbecue. You would even have space to install a hot tub for those lazy summer afternoons. The patio has external lighting, both from wall lights and built in kerb lighting and there is also electric in the outside storage. The property comes fully furnished, with the majority of the furniture being 2 years old or less. Furnishings include all bedding, crockery, utensils, tv box and anything you would need to live here. There is virtually nothing to do on this apartment so you could move straight in. Outside then apartment there is plenty of on street parking. Foz do Arelho is a deliightful seaside town and one of the few on the Silver Coast that is popular all year round. In the village, just a few hundred meters in any direction you will find numerous bars and cafes, 3 mini markets, butchers, chemist, bank, newsagents, post office, local association and more. There is often a sunday market selling bric a brac and antiques. A short walk away you will find the Obidos lagoon with a huge amount of wildlife and also a haven for watersports enthusiasts. There is plenty of places to walk and acres of sandy beaches plus beachfront bars and stunning views across the lagoon and out the the Atlantic ocean. On the other side of the lagoon are the championship golf courses of the Silver Coast and should you wish to venture a little further you can visit the surf resorts around Peniche and the record breaking waves and old town of Nazare. Just 8km away inland is the city of Caldas da Rainha with shopping centres, old town, daily market, cinema, 10 pin bowling, go karting. museums, boating lake and much more. A short drive away is Obidos, the medieval walled city, Alcobaca, Batalha, Aljubarota and so much more. The whole area is steeped in history wth prehistoric dinosaurs in Lourinha and Serra da Aire. If you are thinking of this property as a holiday rental, your guests won't be able to fit everything in in just a week. The location of the property is ideal being only an hour from Lisbon and around 2 from Porto. The transport links are excellent with a very regular bus service and also a train service from both major cities There is a regular bus service from Caldas da Rainha to Foz do Arelho and taxis are available at any time. The property would lend itself to full time residential living, holiday accommodation or as a long term rental investement. If you look on some of the other websites, you will see that there is not a lot of quality- or well-priced property available in Foz do Arelho. This is because there is limited property and people tend to hold on to their properties in the area - the prices generally are 10-15% higher than other locations on the Silver Coast. HP
