This beautiful semi-detached ship house has its own jetty and spacious sunny balcony. The house is situated on a small park, 500 meters from the IJsselmeer in the Frisian town of Stavoren. In the adjacent park you can (for a fee) use the facilities, such as an indoor pool, water sports shop and supermarket department. You can park your car for free at your holiday home. The marina park with its facilities is open from the Easter weekend until the last weekend of the autumn holiday in October. You certainly won't be bored in the vicinity of this lovely holiday home by the water; it is ideal for walkers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts. You can also cast your fishing rod here. Discover the beautiful Gaasterland, the woods on foot or by bike or relax on one of the beautiful beaches. Relax on the IJsselmeerdijk or the beach, enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful nature reserves or just enjoy active water sports. The other cities belonging to the Elfstedentocht towns in Friesland are also certainly worth a visit. In Stavoren stands the famous Woman of Stavoren, a symbol of the medieval legend about the mysterious poverty of Stavoren following a rich past. Do you like to admire classic clippers and contemporary sailing ships? Then you can visit the old port of Stavoren. The centre of Stavoren features nice shops, cosy restaurants, churches, bars, and a supermarket, bakery and butcher. For a nice day out, a boat trip to the Noord-Holland Enkhuizen and its Zuiderzee Museum is highly recommended. If the weather is a bit disappointing, you may want to visit the Jopie Huisman museum in Workum or the Frisian skating museum in Hindeloopen. In short: plenty of things to do for a nice relaxing holiday with the family.
