Starigrad-Paklenica Riviera is located in the highest northwestern part of Dalmatia and belongs to the Zadar region. Paklenica National Park extends from the steep, rugged cars strts from the Velebit massif to the crystal blue water. As the main city, Starigrad is exactly at the intersection of this unique landscape and is therefore described as the place where the mountain meets the sea. The rocky coast, decorated with romantic coves, changes a few meters away in a beautiful pebble beach. Seline is a small town with around 700 inhabitants on the coast of the Velebit channel and the slopes of the mountain massif, approximately three kilometers south of the city of Starigrad. As a resort, Seline is particularly suitable due to the unique combination of sea, pebble beaches, good gastronomy and mountains. Supermarkets, restaurants, cafés and a fruit and vegetable market can be found in the area. Activities in the area: not only sun worshipers and tranquility commercials come here, also the Paklenica Riviera has something in store for active holiday makers. How about a walk through the Paklenica National Park, which is located in the southern part of Velebit, the largest mountain range of the dinarian massif, just behind your resort. In the impressive canyons of Velika and Mala Paklenica you come across unusual cars relias and different caves descending from staggering height to the sea. Holidaymakers who are aiming high can take one of the climbing routes and once be rewarded with phenomenal views. If you do not want to miss the refreshing water, a rafting or kayak trip on the Zrmaniah River is recommended. A bike ride along the Riviera is more relaxed, and mountain biking is great too. Whether you are a speleologist, climber, walker, botanist or active walker, you will find all the right leisure activities here. The cultural city of Zadar is just about 40 kilometers away and the historic village of Nin, 50 kilometers away, is definitely worth an eventful day trip.
