The property is perched at the top of the medieval Borgo, and can be accessed either from the top parking area by large, sloping steps (soon to be restored in stone by the local Commune) or from the lower level where there is a stone wall with an archway leading into the front garden, large covered storage area and 2 separate cantina’s. It is possible to drive a small car into this area. Enter the property into a hallway from which to the left is a living/dining room with double doors and a “Juliet” balcony, wooden beamed ceiling, ceramic tiled flooring, and a big, open fireplace. From the this room, enter the kitchen which has access to good sized terrace with railings, offering lovely views across the olive grove and village. Also from the main living area, there is a small bathroom with WC and sink, cantina and a door which opens onto the large grassed area at the back of the house. Here one can find an original traditional old oven, which is still in working order. The outside area is pretty amazing, formed by rock and the original medieval wall of the Borgo, (recently restored by the Commune). The views across to the pine mountains are absolutely “ jaw dropping”. Spectacular is an understatement ! Back inside, stairs lead to the first floor where to the right is a bathroom with bidet, washbasin, small bath, then a good sized, light double bedroom, followed by another smaller double bedroom and a third single bedroom with built in cupboard. Under the house is the previously mentioned covered storage with access to two separate cantinas, both with beamed ceilings and ceramic flooring. At the top of the property is a separate outbuilding which holds the boiler and water storage tank. The house has wooden shutters on all windows, mains water, gas and electric. Migliano is a small medieval Borgo which comes under the Commune of Marsciano. In the Summer months the Borgo has a festa which is popular with the locals. It is a quiet and peaceful place, Marsciano is approx. 12km away and offers many amenities, including large supermarkets, a weekly market, chemists, post office, schools, florists, banks and many wonderful bars and restaurants. The nearest airport is Perugia which is an approx. 30 minute drive, here there are regular flights from London and other destinations.
