Ten minutes walk from the main tourist area of western Heraklion with taverns, bars, 24hour grocery store (mini-market) and athletic centres (tennis/football/pool). There is also a luxury resort close by where you can go for a spa and thalasso-therapy or water sports. Very good traditional taverns with traditional Cretan food. You can ask me for further information.
The bus stop is a 5-minute walk. There is a direct express bus to and from the airport (N1) that runs approx. every 10 minutes.
Tourist attractions like the Knossos are 30 minutes by bus.
