What we are going to do today will be an experience that will change you and make you love this town as much as I do.
Modica is a Baroque town where it is easy to be enchanted by the spectacular alternation of majestic buildings and the intricate maze of alleyways, and it is while wandering through its narrowest and oldest streets that I love to find the women sitting outside their doorways chatting while the creamy scent of coffee escapes from their houses.
In the evenings, I love to touch the stones from which almost all the houses here are built and feel the warmth gathered during the day slowly release,
I find the little fruit and vegetable shops irresistible, their wooden crates overflowing with colourful and fragrant goods.
A sightseeing tour is in order, and so, after strolling among the buildings carved out of the rock of the mountain on which it stands, we descend to the lower, historic part of town where, after a bit of shopping and lunch in a typical restaurant on Corso Umberto, we can go and visit our proposal for today.
This is a large and bright three-bedroom on the first floor of a house of two, habitable in excellent condition and with some furnishings already present.
The beautiful masonry kitchen will be the centre of your days, after preparing a good breakfast you can enjoy it here while admiring the park below the house or the hills in the distance.
The large terrace can take up some of your time if you are an expert in botany or can be the place to relax and read a good book.
The presence of three rooms is suitable if you have a large family or if you are hospitable friends, certain is that here there will be no time to get bored or feel lonely.
The wonderful climate of the region will allow you to use the terrace and balconies most of the year whether you decide to move here or it will be your much desired holiday home.
The storage room and cellar will allow you to store your provisions, while the garage on the property will ensure that you can return home by bike, motorbike or car and have a safe place to keep them.

Abends liebe ich es, die Steine zu berühren, aus denen fast alle Häuser hier gebaut sind, und zu spüren, wie die tagsüber gesammelte Wärme langsam entweicht,
Ich finde die kleinen Obst- und Gemüseläden unwiderstehlich, deren Holzkisten mit bunten und duftenden Waren überquellen.
Eine Besichtigungstour ist angesagt, und so steigen wir nach einem Spaziergang zwischen den in den Felsen des Berges, auf dem die Stadt steht, gehauenen Gebäuden hinunter in den unteren, historischen Teil der Stadt, wo wir nach einem kleinen Einkauf und einem Mittagessen in einem typischen Restaurant am Corso Umberto unseren heutigen Vorschlag besichtigen können.
Es handelt sich um ein großes und helles Dreibettzimmer im ersten Stock eines Zweifamilienhauses, bewohnbar in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und mit einigen bereits vorhandenen Möbeln.

Las pequeñas fruterías y verdulerías me resultan irresistibles, con sus cajas de madera rebosantes de productos coloridos y perfumados.
Se impone una visita turística, y así, tras pasear entre los edificios excavados en la roca de la montaña sobre la que se asienta, descendemos a la parte baja e histórica de la ciudad donde, tras unas compras y un almuerzo en un restaurante típico del Corso Umberto, podemos visitar nuestra propuesta para hoy.
