I was in town for a photography project dedicated to the hidden beauty of Italian villages. It was during an evening stroll, as the last of the sunshine caressed the ancient stones of the village, that I came across this small, recently built apartment building.
On the first floor, through an elegantly finished door, our flat opens up. The spacious living room, with its open kitchen and south-facing balcony, offers a view that is a hymn to Gallura, with its landscapes that fade into shades of green and blue, inviting you to take a break and enjoy the moment.
The bedrooms, also facing south, are bathed in warm, reassuring light. The master bedroom, is a cosy and serene refuge, where every detail seems to whisper 'welcome home'.
The single room, versatile and bright, is perfect both as a guest room and as a study, where one can be inspired by the quietness of the place.
There are the two full bathrooms, the first anticipated by an ante-bathroom and windowed with a northern exposure, offering cool privacy, and the other, without a window, carefully designed to maximise comfort and functionality.
But Viddalba is much more than just a backdrop for this residence. This village, set in the unique landscapes of Gallura, is a treasure trove of stories, traditions and natural beauty. With its natural thermal baths, it is a destination for those seeking wellness and relaxation in the heart of Sardinia. Its lands are dotted with archaeological remains that tell millennia of history, from nuraghi to the tombs of the giants, offering a journey through time to anyone who cares to listen.
A few minutes' drive away, we find various beaches where the Sardinian sea shows all its splendour, with crystal-clear waters and fine sandy beaches.
No less fascinating are the hiking trails that wind through the hills, where the Mediterranean scrub opens up to amazing views.
My visit left me with the certainty that, for someone, this will not just be a home, but a corner of the world where they can find inspiration, peace and a sense of belonging.

View more View less Die Entdeckung dieser charmanten Wohnung in Viddalba war eine der Überraschungen, die das Leben bereithält, wenn man sie am wenigsten erwartet.
Ich war für ein Fotoprojekt in der Stadt, das der verborgenen Schönheit italienischer Dörfer gewidmet ist. Bei einem Abendspaziergang, als die letzten Sonnenstrahlen die alten Steine des Dorfes umschmeichelten, stieß ich auf dieses kleine, erst kürzlich erbaute Wohnhaus.
Im ersten Stock öffnet sich unsere Wohnung durch eine elegant gestaltete Tür. Das geräumige Wohnzimmer mit offener Küche und Südbalkon bietet einen Blick, der eine Hymne an die Gallura ist, mit ihren Landschaften, die in Grün- und Blautönen übergehen und zum Verweilen und Genießen des Augenblicks einladen.
Die ebenfalls nach Süden ausgerichteten Schlafzimmer sind in ein warmes, beruhigendes Licht getaucht. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist ein gemütliches und ruhiges Refugium, in dem jedes Detail zu flüstern scheint: "Willkommen zu Hause".
Das Einzelzimmer, vielseitig und hell, eignet sich sowohl als Gästezimmer als auch als Arbeitszimmer, wo man sich von der Ruhe des Ortes inspirieren lassen kann.
Es gibt zwei Bäder, das erste mit einem Vorbad und einem Fenster nach Norden, das kühle Privatsphäre bietet, und das andere ohne Fenster, das sorgfältig entworfen wurde, um Komfort und Funktionalität zu maximieren.

J'étais en ville pour un projet photographique consacré à la beauté cachée des villages italiens. C'est au cours d'une promenade nocturne, alors que les derniers rayons de soleil caressaient les vieilles pierres du village, que je suis tombée sur ce petit immeuble de construction récente.
Au premier étage, notre appartement s'ouvre par une porte aux finitions élégantes. Le salon spacieux, avec sa cuisine ouverte et son balcon orienté au sud, offre une vue qui est un hymne à la Gallura, avec ses paysages qui se fondent dans des nuances de vert et de bleu, invitant à faire une pause et à profiter de l'instant.

Al primo piano, attraverso una porta elegantemente rifinita, si apre il nostro appartamento. Il soggiorno ampio, con la sua cucina a vista e il balcone esposto a Sud, offre una vista che è un inno alla Gallura, con i suoi paesaggi che sfumano nei toni del verde e dell'azzurro, che invita a prendersi una pausa e godere del momento.
Le camere da letto, anch'esse esposte a Sud, sono bagnate da una luce calda e rassicurante. La camera matrimoniale, è un rifugio accogliente e sereno, dove ogni dettaglio sembra sussurrare "benvenuto a casa".
La camera singola, versatile e luminosa, è perfetta sia come stanza per ospiti che come studio, dove lasciarsi ispirare dalla quiete del luogo.
Ci sono i due bagni completi, il primo anticipato da un antibagno e finestrato con esposizione a Nord, offrendo una fresca riservatezza, e l'altro, senza finestra, progettato con cura per massimizzare comfort e funzionalità.

A sala espaçosa, com a sua cozinha aberta e a varanda virada a sul, oferece uma vista que é um hino à Gallura, com as suas paisagens que se desvanecem em tons de verde e azul, convidando a fazer uma pausa e a aproveitar o momento.
Os quartos, também virados a sul, são banhados por uma luz quente e tranquilizadora. O quarto principal, é um refúgio acolhedor e sereno, onde cada pormenor parece sussurrar "bem-vindo a casa".
