Foi mandada construir no XIX pelo Barão da Urgeira para casa de morada da sua filha mais velha. Trata-se de um palacete bem ao gosto da época neoclássica. Edificado em alvenaria de pedra, com guardas de bronze nas sacadas das varandas, ricamente trabalhadas. Os cunhais, socos, cornijas e molduras dos vãos são em granito aparelhado a pico fino.
De linhas muito elegantes, tem uma localização, beleza e elegância privilegiadas.
Na segunda metade do séc. XX, é feita uma importante obra se remodelação: estrutura de pilares, vigas e lages incluindo a estrutura da cobertura.
