In the Escoural there is also the Interpretive Center of the Grotto, the Mother Church, the Dolmen of Our Lady of Livramento, the Chapel of St. John the Baptist and St. Brissos, the Convent of Our Lady of the Castle of the infernal graves of Monte Furado, Quinta da Torre do Carvalhal and Quinta de Nossa Senhora do Rosário.It is a land with a very strong history and traditions, with an affable population and with the greatest advantage of being close to the city of Évora and 40 minutes from Lisbon.

Do Homem de Neanderthal desde o paleolítico Médio (cerca de 50 000 anos) até ao Neolítico Final(Homo Sapiens Sapiens), descoberta em 1960, é única da Europa.
