Heute ist es eines der stärksten Touristenziele der Insel, bekannt für seine zahlreichen Strände und die entwickelte Hotelbranche sowie den Familientourismus. Unweit von Malinska liegt Porat, ein ruhiger Ort, wo die Bevölkerung einst vom Fischfang lebte, heute aber der Tourismus die führende Rolle übernommen hat. Nedaleko Malinske smjestio se Porat, mirno mjesto u kojem je stanovništvo nekada živjelo od ribarstva, a danas je vodeću ulogu preuzeo turizam. Naziv mjesta dolazi od talijanske riječi porto što u prijevodu znači luka.
