Besonders die schöne Strandpromenade mit dem typisch portugiesischen Straßenpflaster lädt zum Flanieren und Entspannen ein. Sehenswert ist u.a. die Dorfkirche "Senhora da Luz" etwas erhöht oberhalb der Uferpromenade; sie wurde 1874 errichtet. Schräg gegenüber der Kirche steht die Fortaleza, die ehemalige Festung, in der heute eine bekannte Gaststätte untergebracht ist.
