Man erblickt Massa Marittima mit den Bergen Montieri und Le Cornate im Hinterland, und sanft gewellte toskanische Landschaft mit Weinbergen, Olivenhainen, und sogar das Meer und die Insel Elba. Es gibt hier Ruhe, malerische Landschaft und dabei ist man nicht weit von berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten, weil es hier gute Verkehrsanbindungen gibt. Auf der Autobahn, die sich die Küste entlang zieht, kann man bequem viele Städte erreichen, wie Pisa, Lucca, Rom oder auch etruskische Ausgrabungsstätte wie Roselle, Populonia ... Das Meer ist auf einer geraden Strecke schnell zu erreichen. Der Strand von Follonica ist fast überall zugänglich und von Pinien umgeben.
