Essenbach is a nice starting point to explore the nearby Laabertal, to visit the monastery Mallersdorf, or to make a side trip to the Bavarian Forest or to Munich. The Lower Bavarian metropolises of Straubing, Deggendorf, Passau and Regensburg in the Upper Palatinate are all within an hour's drive. Not to forget: the main attraction: the picturesque medieval capital of Lower Bavaria, namely Landshut: this wonderful spot literally invites you to stroll along the banks of the Isar, to individual shopping in the many, small stores and boutiques. Various fine restaurants (e.g. the Rauchensteiner on the Mühleninsel) and wine bars (e.g. Paolo's Weinbar in the Old Town) are super nice spots for dining and socializing....the Old Town, Trausnitz Castle with a great bar and magnificent view, St. Martin's Church (highest brick tower in the world!), Residenz, Herkules Hall, Salzstadel, etc. There is definitely a lot to see in the gothic city! Das untere Stockwerk befindet sich im ersten Stock und ist durch eine Außentreppe zugänglich, im unteren Stockwerk befinden sich Wohnzimmer, Küche und ein zweites WC. Durch eine Innentreppe geht es dann rauf zu Schlafzimmer und Bad/Dusche. In der Nähe liegen: Landshut, Dingolfing, Ohu, Straubing, Landau Die Treppe ins Mansarden-Schlafzimmer ist relativ steil und damit nicht für jedermann geeignet! Essenbach ist eine schöne Ausgangsposition, um das naheliegende Laabertal zu erkunden, das Kloster Mallersdorf zu besuchen, oder einen Abstecher in den Bayerischen Wald oder nach München zu tätigen. Die niederbayerischen Metropolen Straubing, Deggendorf, Passau und Regensburg in der Oberpfalz sind alle innerhalb einer Fahrstunde zu erreichen.
