Volterra was one of the main city-states of ancient Tuscany (Etruria), it was the site in the Middle Ages of an important episcopal lordship having jurisdiction over a large part of the Tuscan hills. Another artist contributed around 1820 to privately decorate various rooms of the palace. The classic style is evoked at the center of the vaults. The building, with its historical and artistic importance, has great potential as a holiday rental property, thanks to its excellent central location, close to the town’s many restaurants and bars and all other local amenities.

Palazzo storico nobiliare in vendita a Volterra, Pisa. Volterra è stata una delle principali città-stato della Toscana antica (Etruria), fu sede nel medioevo di un'importante signoria vescovile avente giurisdizione su un'ampia parte delle Colline toscane. La città è collegata molto bene ad altre città di grande importanza. Il palazzo nobile, ubicato in una delle vie principali della città, risale al 1700, costruito su resti medievali. La proprietà fu probabilmente unificata architettonicamente introno al 1800. L’edificio si sviluppa su quattro livelli: al piano semi interrato troviamo due vani tecnici, salendo al piano terra troviamo un ampio ingresso, due salotti, la cucina, due stanze che fungono da ripostigli/cantine; da questo piano si va tramite scala ad un piano ammezzato con un ripostiglio. Dal piano terra tramite scala si va al primo piano che è composto sul lato destro da due salotti, cucina, due camere di cui uno con bagno en-suite; sul lato sinistro troviamo un ampio salotto, due camere di cui una con bagno en-suite. Da questo piano, si sale tramite scala al piano secondo, adibito attualmente alle soffitte: vi sono tre ampi vani che sono convertibili a camere. Gli elementi e i materiali di pregio sono identificabili dal marmo, da ampie volte particolari, camini di pregio e da decorazioni che riecheggiano le strutture del soffitto e non solo, presenti sia nelle camere che nelle cantine. Le decorazioni ricordano lo stile grottesco, infatti vi sono rappresentati fiori e foglie stilizzati, drappi, fili di perle: tali decorazioni furono eseguite a metà del 1800 da due artisti volterrani di grande importanza. Un altro artista ha contribuito circa nel 1820 a decorare in forma privata varie stanze del palazzo. Lo stile classico è evocato al centro delle volte. Il palazzo, con la sua importanza storico-artistica, ha grande potenzialità per essere introdotto nel circuito turistico, data la sua posizione centrale e alla sua vicinanza ai servizi principali.
