The historic center is at the northern end of a long, narrow peninsula about four kilometers long that bisects the southern lake shore, and it also takes the form of an island, since it has been isolated from the peninsula by a navigable moat, which is crossed by a single access route, a bridge.It still retains a medieval urban structure, with narrow, irregular streets. Sirmione - in residence con piscina collocato in un angolo tranquillo ed in pieno centro a Colombare, a pochi passi dal lago e dalle terme di Virgilio, ampio appartamento parzialmente ristrutturato.Al primo piano troviamo un ampio ingresso con corridoio attrezzato con armadiature a muro, soggiorno con angolo cottura, camera da letto matrimoniale, bagno con doccia, balcone abitabile.Al piano secondo/mansardato vano pluriuso con due letti singoli, divano letto matrimoniale e bagnetto di servizio.Terrazza ricavata nel tetto con vista lago.L'appartamento si presta ad essere ottimo per uso vacanziero grazie alla vicinanza al lago, al contesto per gli ampi spazi verdi e piscina, per la vicinanza al centro, i principali servizi, da considerare anche l'ampia superficie che lo rende abitabile anche per coloro che vorrebbero venire a vivere definitivamente a Sirmione grazie alla sua metratura.Sirmione non necessita di troppe presentazioni: è un piccolo gioiello sospeso in mezzo al basso lago di Garda.Il comune confina a sud-est con Peschiera del Garda e a sud-ovest con Desenzano del Garda. La sezione sul lago confina ad est con Lazise e Castelnuovo del Garda e a nord con Padenghe sul Garda. Il centro storico è all'estremità settentrionale di una lunga e stretta penisola lunga circa quattro chilometri e che divide in due parti la riva lacuale meridionale, e si configura anche come isola, visto che è stato isolato dalla penisola da un fossato navigabile, che viene superato tramite una sola via di accesso, un ponte.Conserva tutt'oggi una struttura urbanistica medioevale, con strade strette e irregolari. E un'area a traffico limitato, si potrebbe dire che è un paradiso dei pedoni. Oltre al centro storico, esistono, e si sono decisamente ingrossate a partire dagli anni '60, le frazioni di Colombare (alla base della penisola, dove risiede il Municipio) e di Lugana (attorno alla strada per andare a Peschiera).
