Right next to the harbor is Bua's largest beach with a fine sandy beach and views of the harbor entrance and its passing sailboats. On the other side of the mane is a smaller familiar beach. From Bua you are close to the beautiful summer town of Varberg with a throng of people, taverns, cafes and dance venues, everything that belongs to a summer town. The massive Varberg Fortress guards the entrance to the harbor and is visible from afar. Just outside Varberg is Getterön, one of Sweden's most famous bird sanctuaries. Another nice excursion destination is Åkulla beech forests and for those who are technically interested, it is not far to the World Heritage Site Grimeton. If you are interested in golf there is a fine golfcourse at Klosterfjordens GK's in Åskloster. The house does not rent to youth groups.
