Valkenburg ligt op korte afstand en iets verderop liggen steden als Maastricht en Heerlen, struin hier een dagje rond en ontdek het echte Limburg. Vergeet in Valkenburg niet even een kijkje te nemen bij de kasteelruïne en duik in de historie van deze stad. Ook zijn uitstapjes naar België of Duitsland een aanrader. Bezoek bijvoorbeeld het drielandenpunt in Vaals of steden als Aachen en Luik. De Mergelgrotten in Limburg zijn ook zeker een bezoekje waard maar pas op en verdwaal niet in deze gangenstelsels.
