The kitchen has a dishwasher, an oven with steam cooking, a microwave and an electric dome grill on the weather-protected non-smoking balcony. At the top of the village, the “Post” inn invites you to enjoy a tasteful meal. Shopping is also particularly good: there is a small supermarket, a fruit and vegetable retailer, a bakery, a village butcher, an award-winning fish shop, a drugstore, a stationery store and a hairdresser. Further down in the neighboring town of Berg, cafés, ice cream shops and a pharmacy are open for you. Not far in Farchach there is a tennis court and a restaurant with a bowling alley. Nearby is the picturesque Lake Starnberg (swimming, steamboat trips, museum visits) and the 5 Lakes Region, which is popular for hiking and cycling. The connection to public transport is very good. You can take the bus (X970) right outside your front door every 20 minutes directly to the foothills of the Alps or - under an hour - take the S-Bahn S6 & S7 to the center of Munich (it takes about 30 minutes by car).

Das uralte, ehemals landwirtschaftliche Gebäude befindet sich in Berg OTAufhausen am alten Weg von Starnberg nach Wolfratshausen. In den Bestand des Tannengebälks ist eine rein ökologisch moderne Wohnung liebevoll hineingewachsen, die besonders auf Familien zugeschnitten ist. Durch die Fenster hat man einen freien Blick nach Osten, Süden und Westen. Neben einem weitläufigen Wohnbereich mit Küche, Sitzgruppe, Kaminofen, Sofalandschaft und Dachloggia, bietet die Wohnung einen niedrigen (1,75m) Dachspitz mit Berghüttenflair und einen ungeheizten Spielraum mit Kicker, Minibillard und Boulderwand für Kinder im Stadl. Für trübe Tage steht MagentaTV (incl. Disney+, Netflix, Prime, …) und eine kleine Sauna zur Verfügung. Im Bad gibt es eine große Badewanne für zwei Personen, eine Dusche, ein Pissoir und eine kleine Waschmaschine samt Trockner. Die Küche hat eine Geschirrspülmaschine, neben dem Backofen mit Dampfgarung auch eine Mikrowelle und einen elektrischen Kuppel-Grill auf dem wettergeschützten Nichtraucher-Balkon. Oben im Dorf lädt das Wirtshaus „Post“ geschmackvoll zum Essen ein. Außerdem kann man besonders gut einkaufen: es gibt dort einen kleinen Supermarkt, einen Obst-&Gemüsehändler, eine Bäckerei, eine Dorfmetzgerei, einen prämierten Fischladen, eine Drogerie, einen Schreibwarenladen und einen Friseur. Weiter unten im Nachbarort Berg haben Cafés, Eisladen und eine Apotheke für Sie geöffnet. Unweit in Farchach gibt es eine Tennisanlage und eine Gaststätte mit Kegelbahn. In der Nähe befindet sich der malerische Starnberger See (Baden, Dampferfahrten, Museumsbesuche) und das für Wandern und Radfahren beliebte 5-Seen-Land. Die Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist sehr gut. Mit dem Bus (X970) kann man gleich vor der Haustür im 20Minuten-Takt direkt ins Voralpenland fahren oder -unter einer Stunde- mit den S-Bahnen S6 & S7 ins Münchner Zentrum (mit dem Auto benötigt man ca. 30 Min).
