Questa storica villa signorile di grande charme, con la sua magnifica architettura tipica delle più belle ville venete, sorge a Fratta Polesine, in provincia di Rovigo, immersa in un verde parco di 20.000 mq ricco di piante autoctone. La dimora risale al XVI secolo, edificata su commissione di Vincenzo Grimani, membro di una delle famiglie più illustri di Venezia: un'opera unica dallo stile inconfondibile. La facciata principale della villa padronale è insolitamente rivolta a Nord, al centro una grande loggia a tempio greco con sei colonne doriche, alla quale si accede con due ampie scalinate laterali. Il complesso è composto da un rustico denominato “il Fenilon” e dalla corte Signorile, composta dall'edificio padronale e due barchesse (scomparsa poi quella orientale) ai lati disposte ortogonali. L'intero complesso è tutt'oggi cinto da un muro in laterizio a vista. La magnifica villa padronale in stile palladiano si sviluppa su tre livelli per una superficie complessiva di 400 mq con una tipica suddivisione cinquecentesca gerarchica dei piani. Gli ambienti interni presentano splendide decorazione ad affreschi risalenti alla metà del 1500, con continui rimandi ai temi più classici della storia antica, allegorie mitologiche e preponderanti riferimenti legati alle tematiche di amore e fecondità. Le opere, attribuite per lungo tempo al pittore Giallo Fiorentino, potrebbero essere in realtà opera di un anonimo Grimani, della cerchia artistica di Giuseppe Porta Salviati, cui apparteneva anche il Giallo Fiorentino, che operò nella gemella Villa Badoer. Ce villa seigneuriale historique de grand charme, avec sa magnifique architecture typique des plus belles villas vénitiennes, est située à Fratta Polesine, dans la province de Rovigo, immergée dans un parc verdoyant de 20 000 mètres carrés regorgeant de plantes indigènes. La résidence remonte au XVIème siècle, construite sur commande de Vincenzo Grimani, membre de l'une des plus illustres familles de Venise: une œuvre unique au style incomparable. La façade principale de la villa de maître est exceptionnellement orientée au nord, avec une grande loggia, en forme de temple grec à six colonnes doriques, au centre, à laquelle on accède par deux grands escaliers latéraux. Le complexe est composé d'une maison de campagne appelée le Fenilon et de la cour Seigneuriale composée du bâtiment de maître et de deux barchesse (l'orientale a puis disparu) sur les côtés disposées de façon orthogonale.
