Mundet & Sons" se estabeleceu a partir de 1906, em Amora as instalações referentes à mesma empresa só viriam a entrar em laboração alguns anos mais tarde, não sendo possível neste caso confirmar exatamente a data do seu arranque. Contudo, tendo em conta que a dita empresa veio a ocupar os velhos edifícios que desde 1862 tinham sido uma fábrica de moagem e descasque de arroz a vapor, pertencente a José Gomes e posteriormente uma fábrica de conservas de sardinha designada por "Costa, Lda.", que aqui laborou até ao início de 1920, somos levados a crer que, pelo menos neste velho edifício oitocentista do lugar de Trás-das-Hortas, localizado em Amora de Baixo, a firma "L. Mundet & Sons" deve ter iniciado as suas atividades, no princípio dos anos 20.

However, taking into account that the said company came to occupy the old buildings that since 1862 had been a steam rice milling and husking factory, belonging to José Gomes and later a sardine canning factory called "Costa, Lda.", which worked here until the beginning of 1920, we are led to believe that, at least in this old nineteenth-century building in the place of Trás-das-Hortas, located in Amora de Baixo, the firm "L.
