Deze woning ligt op 5 km van de middeleeuwse stad Cahors, bekend om haar oude en beroemde “Pont Valentré”, de oudste gotische vestigingsbrug van Europa. Op de slingerende rivier de Lot (3 km) die zich verbreedt bij Cais/Luzech, kunt u kanovaren, zwemmen, zeilen en waterfietsen (ter plaatse te huur). Binnen een half uur rijden bereikt u de middeleeuwse stadjes zoals Saint-Cirq-Lapopie en Puy-L’Evèque. De Aquitaine, met het bekende departement de lot, is van oudsher een vakantiebestemming met veel natuurschoon, een goede keuken met specialiteiten zoals eend, foie-gras, meloen, schapenvlees, saffraan, het Rocamadour-kaasje en niet te vergeten de wijn van Cahors.
