It is a building where the Hotel activity is carried out. The hotel is spread over 2 floors. On the ground floor, we can find the reception, as well as all the services that support the Hotel, namely, breakfast room/restaurant, kitchen, laundry, engine room, storage room, as well as a small patio, outside the dining area. On the first floor, there are 10 bedrooms, all of them facing the outside, some of them with access to a balcony. On the top floor of the property, we can find a house floor that can be converted to support the Hotel, and increase its accommodation capacity. On this floor, it is also possible to find an outdoor terrace, where the solar panels are installed. Outside, you can find a car park that supports the hotel, as well as a small warehouse. This building may, however, be transformed into another activity if they so wish, or eventually, maintaining the hotel activity, be submitted to a project to increase capacity/number of stars. The regional government of the Azores has a program to support local businesses in several areas, one of which is tourism. The support consists of a non-refundable subsidy that can go, in this case, from Povoação/Furnas up to 50% of the total investment made. The maximum value of the incentive is 7 million euros. In addition, there is an achievement bonus that can reach up to 25% of the non-refundable allowance, and which depends, for example, on the hiring of qualified people, a certain rate of return, etc. This program is called Azores 2030 and runs until 2027. A small village inside a volcanic crater: Furnas on the island of São Miguel, Azores Furnas is a small parish with less than 1,500 inhabitants located on the southeast side of the island of São Miguel, about 50km (31mi) from the capital Ponta Delgada. You can spend a whole day here without ever getting bored because there is so much to visit and learn. What makes Vale das Furnas unique is that the area is actually a dormant volcanic crater. Although the Furnas volcano last erupted in 1630, you can feel, see, and smell the geothermal activity all around you in the form of steaming fumaroles, thermal pools, and natural mineral springs around every corner. And let's not forget the tasty treats that are cooked in all that geothermal heat. The locals take advantage of the heat of the earth to cook the famous Cozido, and also use the mineral waters in several recipes for cheeses, pastries, breads, meats and much more. In the center of the city, Furnas has about 30 bubbling and steaming boilers and fumaroles of different temperatures and biological compositions, with the strong smell of sulfur hovering in the air at every turn. Unsurprisingly, the locals did their best to have these natural steamers around. Temperatures range from 70ºC (158ºF) to 100ºC (212ºF), which is perfect for cooking (but dangerous to get too close!) You can stop for a snack of freshly cooked corn on the cob, cooked in one of the city's boilers! Furnas Golf Course, São Miguel Island, Azores The stunning landscape is the perfect setting for unforgettable rounds of golf in the pure and natural environment of the Azores.
